Evaluation framework

Look for evidence across six dimensions.

The right partner depends on scope. A migration has different risks from a net-new rollout, and campaign operations require different operating controls from a technical integration.

1. Technical implementation depth

Look for practical evidence across Braze data models, event design, APIs, SDKs, webhooks, Liquid, Canvas, integrations and deployment controls.

2. Data architecture

Review source systems, identity, attributes, events, subscription groups, consent, catalogs, segmentation and integration boundaries. Strong delivery starts with a usable data contract.

3. Lifecycle operating model

Ask how strategy becomes journeys, triggers, eligibility rules, suppression logic, experimentation and measurement. The implementation should leave marketers with an operating model they can maintain.

4. QA and production readiness

Check whether QA covers rendering, links, data, audience logic, timing, suppression, integration responses and launch controls—not just a final checklist.

5. Credentials and people

Prefer credentials that can be independently verified. Ask who will actually deliver the work and what platform certifications they hold.

6. Proof and transparency

Look for case studies, architecture examples, implementation references, clear scope and explicit assumptions. Unsupported outcomes should not be presented as facts.

Questions to ask

Turn sales conversations into technical due diligence.

These questions help procurement, marketing and engineering stakeholders compare proposals on the same basis.

Who owns the Braze data model and integration design?

Ask for a named owner, expected artifacts and the handoff between source systems, integration layer and Braze configuration.

How is migration validated before cutover?

Ask for mapping, reconciliation, test plans, audience checks, rollback considerations and post-cutover monitoring.

What remains documented after launch?

Useful deliverables can include architecture diagrams, naming conventions, data dictionaries, journey maps, QA evidence, runbooks and ownership matrices.

How are certifications verified?

Use the vendor's official certification or public credential profile where available.

Primary sources

Use official platform references alongside partner claims.

Platform capabilities and partner programs change. Validate current product behavior against first-party sources before approving architecture or scope.
